Matt Baker

Matt is an ordained minister who works for Sports Chaplaincy UK as Pastoral Support Director in English Football. The majority of football clubs now have chaplains who provide pastoral & spiritual support to those at their club. Matt oversees this work providing training, support & encouragement to chaplains as well as helping clubs to find the most suitable person to be a chaplain. He also continues to be chaplain to Charlton Athletic where he has been for 12 years.

It was in his role as chaplain at Charlton that Matt first met Linvoy in 2008 when Linvoy played for the club on loan.

Mick Mellows // Faith & Football

Faith & Football was started in Portsmouth in 2002 by Christian professional footballers Linvoy Primus and Darren Moore. Along with Mick Mellows, the Charity Director, they decided that as Christians they wanted to serve their local communities by helping young people and their families, be positive role models and help make a real difference!

From that simple beginning Faith & Football has grown so that it now provides a range of community, educational and overseas programmes using football as a platform for relationship building. We mobilise the Church to meet and serve people where they are on life’s journey and to make Jesus’ message of hope known to all.

A team of 4 full time staff members and over 250 enthusiastic Christian Faith & Football volunteers in Portsmouth, Birmingham, Plymouth, Barnsley and Farnborough faithfully serve their respective communities by delivering our programmes. Christian professional footballers support the work by participating in everything we undertake.

Dave Bemment

Dave Bemment runs Lighthouse Agency, which manages Linvoy’s bookings. He has over 20 years experience in facilitating Celebrity Testimony evenings. Dave’s previous activities included involvement with Manna Music (Helen Shapiro’s ministry) and Connections Personal Management Ltd. Dave is always available to advise and assist in putting together your Special Event, and is the interviewer for evenings involving Lisa Potts.

Andy Elmes

Andy, with his wife Gina, is the senior pastor of Family Church, a multi-congregational church located on the south coast of England. Andy is a visionary leader who has grown the church from twelve people on its first day to a significant and influential church in the UK and beyond.

He is also the founder of Great Big Life, a ministry established to see people equipped and empowered not only to lead effectively in church but also in every other sphere of life.

Andy’s versatility allows him to communicate as a pastor, an evangelist, a teacher, and a coach reaching individuals of all ages and in a variety of settings. Andy is very natural and irreligious in his approach, using humour well and being very animated and often unconventional in his delivery. His desire is to lead people to Jesus and help them to discover all that is now available to them through what Jesus has done for them. His personal mandate is “to know the King and to advance His Kingdom.”
